An industrial activity that change the form of raw materials to create products is known as manufacturing .Foe changing the raw material into product various types of process are used like casting , forming ,machining and joining.
Importance of Manufacturing
Manufacturing may produce discrete products ,meaning individual parts or pieces of parts ,or it may of produce continuous products. Nails ,gears, steel ball , engine blocks are example of discrete products . Metal and plastic sheet ,wire and pipe are continuous products that may be cut into individual pieces and there by become discrete products. Because a manufactured item has undergone a number of changes during which raw material has become a useful product ; it has added value , defined as monetary worth in terms of price.
